LEMONAID LEAGUE PROJECTS CHALLENGE

SOCIAL  DISADVANTAGE

Survivors of social deprivation are often without knowledge of and access to appropriate & timely legal assistance when faced with domestic crisis, and may need to tackle bias during any associated legal process.

PROJECT: LemonAid League runs a project studying the links between the level of social deprivation of a family and the practical observation of its rights by social workers, medics, police and the judiciary, with particular emphasis on causal relationships, rather than  simple correlation of factors.

ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE

Those facing economic crisis, either through personal or national adverse events, are often deprived of access to education  at every level.

PROJECT: LemonAid League supports a UK based charity providing grants to help educate women, both in the community, and by funding them through higher education.

PHYSICAL DISADVANTAGE

Without treatment to combat a disability and/or therapies to manage its effects, physical disadvantage threatens a person's ability to realise their potential.

PROJECT:
Movement disorders place sufferers at a major disadvantage in terms of opportunity and equality, long before they actually become debilitating or associated cognitive problems may impact. LemonAid League provides technical and strategic support for arts therapy charities involving dance, voice, mime, interaction and fostering community and positivity.

LEGAL
DISADVANTAGE

Lack of proper legal support, no access to appropriate scientific expertise and lack of knowledge as to the appropriate legal and scientific protocols place wrongly accused citizens at a serious legal disadvantage.

PROJECT: LemonAid League is involved in detailed data analysis of  UK legal cases arising in relation to these issues, in order to highlight legal disadvanatage, to support experts campaigning for justice for the disadvantaged and to provide protocols to  ensure it is delivered.
